Ya es viernes!!! Bravo!!! Y bueno ayer tuve mi primera clase de paddle surf, menuda experiencia, vaya forma de fortalecer  piernas,  brazos, y mucho más fácil que el surf… la semana que viene repetiré… me ha encantado!!! Es cierto que al principio tragas agua pero a medida que va pasando el tiempo vas cogiendo destreza y es una pasada…supongo que lo mejor es encontrar una buena monitora y Nadia, es la mejor.

Cambiando de tema, la semana pasada ya os hablé de FIRAC,la feria de artesanía que se realiza en la bajada al puerto de Ciutadella, Menorca, concretamente la calle se llama Costa baixamar,para que no haya dudas y donde los fines de semana (Sábado y Domingo) podréis disfrutar de música y espectáculos que amenizan las veladas de shooping de todos aquellos que tengáis el placer de estar allí. En esta feria podéis encontrar todo tipo de artículos ya bien sean, libretas personalizadas, cuadros, calzado, ropa interior, bolsos, joyas, carteras… dicho así no suena muy atractivo verdad? Pues lo atractivo de esta feria es que todo lo que encontréis en ella es HANDMADE, hecho por artesanos, por personas que han dedicado su tiempo a esculpir, trabajar, bordar, coser…. Esa pieza que tu puedes comprar si quieres y puedes, claro. Yo la verdad no me lo pensé 2 veces y durante mi estancia en la isla pequé. Primero por una cartera en piel increíble, que cada vez que la veo me gusta más, de Kiniria. Kiniria es Eva Amat, una granadina afincada en Menorca que trabaja el cuero como nadie, no os podéis perder sus bolsos, bandoleras, monederos, carteras…y este año ha hecho unas fundas de ipad que son una monada, en realidad todo es increíble, y además si no tenéis la suerte de ir a la isla podéis comprarle onlinekiniria@gmail.com /kiniria.blogspot.com. Otro de los artistas de esta feria al cual no tuve ocasión de comprar este año pero que me encanta es Sara, una chica catalana afincada en Menorca también y que hace unas joyas increíbles, trabaja la plata como nadie y este año ha incorporado nuevos materiales, quizás lo que más me encanta de ella es su capacidad de creación. Este año me ha sorprendido con  su colección de hojas;es increíble, hay anillos, collares, pendientes… si queréis ver más echar un vistazo a sendag.wordpress.comallí podréis ver un poquito más de su obra, ya que las fotos no tienen la resolución que deberían , aunque en breve lo solucionaré…Otro de los artesanos, que me encanta  y me fascina  es Fabrizio que junto a su pareja Gilda, hacen auténticas obras de arte con una revista, un comic…Cuando lo conocí el producto estrella era la cartera, monedero, tarjetero, cinturón…pero es curioso que cada año que voy me encanta más lo que veo, y en esta ocasión me dejé enamorar  por un fabuloso bolso de mano de inspiración vintage  con fotografías  sacadas de revistas de época, una auténtica monada para mi colección de bolsos de mano… Lo difícil fue elegir uno, porque este año ha ampliado su colección y ha creado unos bolsos vintage con fotografías antiguas que son de lo más original, y me encantan, además de las lámparas…solo os digo que tenéis que verlo, es curioso como de un comic o una revista se pueden hacer estas obras de arte, si queréis más información su email es binivintage.menorca@gmail.com… Para acabar no me podía dejar a mi perdición y mi ojito derecho en este mercado, las sandalias de Aldea Camina, ya sé que os he hablado en diversas ocasiones, y no pretendo ser pesada pero tenéis que probároslas, cuando camines con ellas no querrás nada más para el verano… Lo curiosos de ellas, es que todas tienen nombre, podéis encontrar el modelo Sara, Roser, Marta … y las que yo me he comprado este año son las Aldeanas, un básico entre los básicos pero esta vez quería algo sencillo, lo mejor: el color, un morado berenjena precioso que puedes combinar con todo…Del puesto de aldea destacaría la originalidad de sus modelos, y el diseño innovador del calzado, algo poco común y a la vez precioso elrincondealdea.es.tl.

Podría escribiros 4 páginas hablando de FIRAC y de sus artesanos, porque todo lo que hay es increíble solo os digo que si buscáis algo diferente y con la certeza de saber que estas invirtiendo en arte no lo dudéis ni un momento y os paséis por allí si tenéis la ocasión de ir a Menorca este verano.

Bueno chicos disfrutar del sol, la playa, las terrazas, los chiringuitos, las sandalias , los vestidos cortos… que por fin ES VERANO! Buen finde!!!

 

 

 

 

It's Friday! Bravo! Well yesterday I had my first class of paddle surfing, all I can say is what an experience, the perfect way to strengthen your legs and arms and it’s also much more easier than surfing ...think I will do it again next week ... I just loved it! It is true that at first you seem to swallow a lot of water but as time goes by you captivating the skill and it’s just amazing ... I guess it's best to find a good trainer and I have to say that Nadia, is the best.

 

Now moving on, last week I told you about FIRAC, it’s the craft fair that takes place in the to the port of Ciutadella in the islands of Menorca, it can be found in the street called Costa Baixamar, for those who are not so sure of whereabouts its where on the weekends (Saturday and Sunday) you can enjoy music and live entertainment just enough to liven up the evenings shopping and for all those that have the pleasure of just being there.

 

There you can find all kinds of items as well from, custom maid notebooks, paintings, shoes, underwear, handbags, jewelry, handbags ... well I guess that does not sound so attractive right? As the appeal is that all that you will find is all HANDMADE made by artisans, by people who have devoted their time to sculpt, embroidery work and sew.... you should buy that piece that you can buy if you want and can do, of course. Honestly I don’t have to think twice and always during my stay on the island I have sinned and brought a few pieces. My first was a leather wallet, just incredible and every time I see it I like even more as it was made by Kiniria. Kiniria which is Eva Amat as she is based in Menorca and she works with leather unlike anyone else, you cannot forget to her out also the bags, shoulder bags, purses and wallets ... and this year she has done a iPad covers which are so cute, actually everything is amazing, also if you not so lucky to go to the island you can also buy onlinekiniria@gmail.com or kiniria.blogspot.com. Another of the artists in this exhibition which unfortunately this year I has no chance to buy from this year but I love is Sara, she’s a girl who also lives in Menorca and is Catalan as she also makes some amazing jewelry, silver works as one and this year has added new materials, perhaps what I love about her is her ability to create. This year I was surprised with her collection of leaves, just incredible and also there are rings, necklaces and earrings ... if you want to see more take a look at the web page;  sendag.wordpress.com  there you can see a little more of her work, as the photos do not have resolution they should, but soon it will be resolved ... Another craft, which I just love is Fabrizio who and  his partner Gilda, they make works of art with magazines and comics ... When I first learnt about this star product it was a wallet, purse, card and belts ... but really it's funny that every year I go I just love it more, the more I see it. And this time I let myself fall in love with a fabulous vintage handbag as they inspired with pictures from magazines of that time, a real cute addition for my handbag collection... I guess the hard part was choosing which one, because this year they  have expanded their collection and have created so many vintage handbags with old photographs that are most original, and I just love this, plus not forgetting the lamps ... To finish I could not leave my without downfall and also my darling in this market, the amazing sandals by Aldea Camina,, I know that I have spoken to you about her  on several occasions, and not pretend to be a pain but you must go and see and try on  as when you try them on you won’t want anything else for the summer ... the other thing quite curious is that all of them have names, you can find the models called Sarah, Rose and Marta ... the ones that I bought this year are called the Villagers, quite basic but this time I just only wanted something simple, the best: colour, a purple eggplant just wonderful as you can combine it with almost anything ... the post of village highlight the originality of its models, and innovative design of the shoe, something unusual yet still very beautiful elrincondealdea.es.tl

 

I could write forever talking about FIRAC and the artisans, because everything there is just so amazing, well if your seeking something different and with the certainty of knowing that you are investing in art do not doubt for a moment and you go through there if have the chance to go to Menorca this summer or if not I’ve included their web-sites.
